The Tsinghua LLM - China, Beijing - 清华法学硕士项目

The Master of Law (LL.M.) PROGRAM IN CHINESE LAW at Tsinghua is the first formal legal educational program ever offered in China for foreign law students and professionals.

As a country with a rich cultural heritage and the largest market in the world, China ranks first in receiving Foreign Direct Investment for several years and is the fourth largest import/export country worldwide. To ensure sustainable social economic progress, the country has established a complex legal infrastructure through enacting the laws and regulations on a historic scale.

Under the newly formed framework of globalization, Chinese law becomes a necessary knowledge for those who have business, culture, academic and political encounters with China. To meet the increasing demand for understanding Chinese law, Tsinghua Law School launches a Master of Law (LL.M.) Program in Chinese Law for English speaking law students and legal professionals.

Students and lawyers from all countris are eligible to apply. An applicant must meet one of the following requirements:

J.D., LL.B. or equivalent law degree, or
Enrollment in a J.D. program, or
Qualification to practice law.

The tuition for the LL.M. program is RMB ¥ 146,000 (roughly about $ 18,500)

Zhou Shenxian (周生贤) was appointed Director of the State Environmental Protection Administration, replacing resigned Xie Zhenhua (解振华).

Hu Siyi (胡四一) was appointed Vice Minister of Water Resources, replacing retired Suo Lisheng (索丽生).

Wang Shiyuan (王世元) was appointed Vice Minister of Land and Resources.

Jiang Dingzhi (蒋定之), Cai E Sheng (蔡鄂生) and Guo Ligen (郭利根) were appointed Vice Chairman of the State Banking Regulatory Commission, and replacing retired Shi Jiliang (史纪良).

Li Shenglin (李盛霖) was appointed Minister of Communications, replacing shifted Zhang Chunxian (张春贤).

Long Xinmin (龙新民) was appointed Director of General Administration for Press and Publication, replacing shifted Shi Zongyuan (石宗源).

Jia Zhibang (贾治邦) was appointed Director of State Forestry Bureau, replacing shifted Zhou Shenxian (周生贤) .

Hu Suping (胡苏平) was appointed Vice Governor of Shanxi Provincial Government, replacing Wang Xin (王昕).

Gao Feng (高峰) was appointed Vice Governor of Yunnan Provincial Government.

Jia Zhibang (贾治邦) was removed from Vice Minister of Civil Affairs.

Chen Qiufa (陈求发), Sun Qin (孙勤) and Jin Zhuanglong (金壮龙) were appointed Vice Minister of Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defence, replacing retired Zhang Huazhu (张华祝), Zhang Weimin (张维民) and Zhang Guangqin (张广钦).

Jiang Fan (江帆) was appointed Vice Minister of State Commission for Population and Family Planning, replacing retired Zhao Bingli (赵炳礼).

Yan Haiwang (阎海旺) was removed from Vice Chairman of China Banking Regulatory Commission.

Zhang Ping (张平), Wang Jinxiang (王金祥) and Du Ying (杜鹰) were appointed Vice Minister of State Development and Reform Commission, replacing retired Liu Jiang (刘江) and Li Zibin (李子彬).

Hu Xiaolian (胡晓炼) was appointed Vice Governor of People’s Bank of China, replacing shifted Li Ruogu (李若谷).

Hu Wei (胡伟) was appointed Vice Chairman of Xinjiang Autonomous Regional Government.

Gao Qiang (高强) was appointed Minister of Health, replacing Wu Yi (吴仪).

Liu Jinguo (刘金国), Zhang Xinfeng (张新枫) and Liu De (刘德) were appointed Vice Minster of Public Security, replacing retired Tian Qiyu (田期玉) and Zhao Yongji (赵永吉).

He Xian (何宪) was appointed Vice Minster of Personnel, replacing retired Dai Guangqian (戴光前).

Lu Chunfang (卢春房) was appointed Vice Minster of Railways, replacing retired Wang Zhaocheng (王兆成).

Lu Wucheng (陆武成) was appointed Vice Governor of the Gansu Provincial Government.

Chen Lei (陈雷) was appointed Vice Chairman of the Xinjiang Autonomous Regional Government.

Ma Biao (马飚) resigned from the position of Vice Chairman of the Guangxi Autonomous Regional Government.

Liu Shijin (刘世锦) was appointed Deputy Director of the Development Research Center of the State Council, replacing retired Lu Zhiqiang (鲁志强).

Shao Qiwei (邵琪伟) was appointed Director of National Tourism Administration, replacing retired He Guangwei (何光暐).

Guo Shuqing (郭树清) was removed from the position of Vice Governor of the People’s Bank of China.

Chen Lei (陈雷) was removed from the position of Vice Minister of Water Resources.

Hu Jintao (胡锦涛) was elected Chairman of Central Military Commission of People’s Republic of China, replacing retired Jiang Zemin (江泽民).

Xu Caihou (徐才厚) was elected Vice-Chairman of Central Military Commission of People’s Republic of China, replacing Hu Jintao.

Chen Bingde (陈炳德), Qiao Qingchen (乔清晨), Zhang Dingfa (张定发), and Jing Zhiyuan (靖志远) were elected Members of the Central Military Commission of the People’s Republic of China.

Yang Jiechi (杨洁篪) was appointed Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, replacing Zhou Wenchong (周文重).

Li Yizhong (李毅中) was appointed Director of the State Administration of Work Safety, and Wang Xianzheng (王显政), Wang Dexue (王德学), Sun Huashan (孙华山), and Liang Jiakun (梁嘉琨) were appointed Deputy Directors.

Hu Xiaolian (胡晓炼) was appointed Director of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, replacing shifted Guo Shuqing (郭树清).

Donald Tsang Yam-kuen (曾荫权) was appointed Acting Chief Executive of the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and replacing resigned Tung Chee-hwa (董建华).

Zhou Wenchong (周文重) was appointed Ambassador to the Chinese Embassy in the USA, replacing Yang Jiechi (杨洁篪).

Guo Shuqing (郭树清) was appointed President of China the Construction Bank, replacing resigned Zhang Enzhao (张恩照).

Tung Chee-hwa (董建华), Zhang Meiying (张梅颖), and Zhang Rongming (张榕明) were elected Vice Chairmen of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).

Lu Changhua (卢昌华) and Wang Shenghong (王胜洪) were appointed Deputy Secretary Generals of the CPPCC, and replacing retired Zhao Ximing (赵喜明) and Fu Zhihuang (傅志煌).

Chen Deming (陈德铭) was appointed Governor of the Shaanxi Provincial Government.

Yang Huanning (杨焕宁) was removed as Vice Minister of Public Security.
